Fuji Corporation's surface mount technology (SMT) equipment continues to demonstrate strong market demand. Recently, a significant order for 80 sets of Fuji SMT machines, valued at approximately 536 million Japanese Yen, was placed by Mei Ya Electronic Technology, an indirect subsidiary of North Asia Strategy Holdings Limited. This bulk purchase highlights the ongoing confidence in Fuji's production solutions within the electronics manufacturing sector.
The flagship of Fuji's current portfolio is the advanced NXTR series. The NXTR A model is designed for high-mix production, featuring an automated "smart loader car" that enables unmanned feeder setup and replenishment, drastically reducing changeover time. Its modular architecture allows for flexible capacity expansion. The machine boasts a high-precision placement capability of ±15μm and incorporates multiple in-process quality assurance systems. For high-speed applications, the NXTR S model is reported to achieve a remarkable placement speed of 120,000 components per hour (CPH).
This technological edge translates into commercial success. Recent public tender results in China show Fuji, supplied through its agent Mei Ya Electronic Technology, as the winning bidder for multiple high-precision placement machine projects, including those for Tianxin Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. and Taixing Circuit Co., Ltd..
Fuji is also actively shaping the future of smart manufacturing through collaborations. The company has partnered with industrial mobile robot leader Standard Robots to create integrated smart factory solutions, successfully demonstrating automated material handling linked to the NXTR A at major industry exhibitions.
Driven by its "Target ZERO" philosophy, which aims for zero placement defects, zero downtime, and zero operator intervention, Fuji continues to focus on innovation to push the boundaries of placement technology and support high-quality manufacturing worldwide.
